Cookie notice
This notice describes the cookie and similar-storage position of the current AVC public alpha surface. The rule is simple: non-essential tracking does not get to arrive before consent merely because marketing software is impatient.
1. Current public-site state
The current AVC public website source does not include analytics trackers, advertising pixels or marketing cookies. AVC therefore does not present a consent banner merely for appearance while no non-essential tracking is intentionally active.
2. Strictly necessary technologies
Hosting, network-security and identity infrastructure may use technologies required to deliver pages, protect the service, prevent abuse or maintain an authenticated session on protected access surfaces. Those technologies are operational or security controls rather than marketing features.
3. Cookie categories
- Necessary: may be used where required for delivery, security or authentication.
- Preferences: not intentionally used by the current public source.
- Analytics: not intentionally used by the current public source.
- Marketing: not intentionally used by the current public source.
4. Before non-essential tracking is introduced
AVC must add a real consent mechanism before enabling non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking where consent is required. The implementation must prevent those technologies from loading before the relevant choice and must make withdrawal or changes to that choice available afterwards.
5. Consent interaction requirements
When a consent interface becomes necessary, accepting and rejecting non-essential tracking must both be clear choices. Granular preferences must describe the relevant purposes and providers, and the stored choice must not be treated as permission for unrelated purposes.
6. Browser and device controls
Browsers and devices can also restrict or clear cookies and site storage. Blocking strictly necessary authentication or security technologies may prevent protected areas from working, while the public informational surface should remain usable without marketing tracking.
7. Changes to this notice
This notice must be updated when AVC introduces a new cookie, tracker, analytics provider, advertising technology or materially different storage purpose. The deployed behavior, the notice and any consent controls must agree with each other.
